Artist FAQs

The process is simple, click “artists” > ”become a gallree exhibitor”, fill out the _ part form, upload at least four images of your work, pay the $5.00 review fee and submit for review. Once accepted your profile and exhibit pages will be set up and you’ll receive an email with information on how to access and manage your works.
 
Any artist working in any medium can apply to exhibit and sell on Gallree.
 
It is Gallree’s intention to be known as a dealer of contemporary fine art for discerning art buyers and collectors. Our review process insures that works uploaded to the site meets quality standards and image reproduction specifications.
 
The Gallree Curator and a selection of artists currently exhibiting on the Gallree site perform all reviews. The committee is refreshed every 120 days to insure that the selection of work is diverse and of high quality. Reviewers of your work will consider technique, creative expression and stylistic achievement, as well as the work's readiness for online viewing.
Artists can exhibit virtually any type of fine art that can be reasonably packaged and shipped to buyers by FedEx.
There is no limit to how many pieces can be exhibited.
 
Gallree employs a full-time staff of online marketing experts who work tirelessly to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in online technologies, social media, promotions, and the fine arts industry. Their number one goal is to get you and your work in front of as many targeted art buyers and collectors as possible.
 
Yes, a 30% commission is added to the price desired at the time of upload by the artist. The commission covers the cost of online marketing, promotions, logistics, and ongoing website maintenance.
When a purchase is made, the artist and buyer are immediately notified and confirmation that the artwork is available is obtained. Once confirmed, the artist is provided with a pre-paid shipping label. He/she packages the artwork and ships directly to the buyer address. The buyer has seven days to return the artwork, after which the sale is considered final and a check mailed to the artist by Gallree.
 
Shipping costs are calculated based on the accuracy of artwork information provided by the artist at upload. The buyer, prior to shipment pays shipping costs.
The buyer of any work sold on the Gallree site has seven days in which to return undamaged artwork in its original packaging. After seven days, the sale is considered final.
Checks are mailed at the end of every month to artists whose work was sold during the course of that month.
Yes. Artists exhibiting original art on the site may also include reproductions of their works. Just be sure that your artwork description includes the type of reproduction, edition #s if applicable, signed if applicable and any other relevant details.
Yes, there is a one time, non-refundable $5.00 fee covering the cost of review by our selection committee as well as the initial setup up your page on the site. Artists represented by Gallree will receive 70% of the proceeds from the sale of their artwork.
