This square-format acrylic painting (painted on cradled board), is dominated by blues, but there's pink, rose, red and violet in this abstract as well. It is highly-textured. I've used polyacrylic medium to scratch and rake-in lines, as well as the work of simply painting. I've sanded down, added, subtracted and worked the surface until the finished painting creates a balanced whole. My goal is to create an work that rewards frequent deep-looking and, at the same time, embellishes the appearance of any room in which it hangs.
