The Holyoke Range consist of seven peaks formed by glaciers,one of the only east-west axis range in this country. From an apple orchard I set my easel up, obtaining a front row seat, (except I stand)! as these mountain sprawl out before me. I feel like reaching out to pet them, as though they are large animals that rise up and back down again when fast moving cloud shadows and sunlight fall on them, undulating them. I grab this movement with color.
