Clearly there's the suggestion of flowers, roses, most likely, bunched together in a bouquet, and, although the painting is of the "all over" variety, the effect is pleasing, due, I think, the the grouping and variations in colors and hues. Dominated by turquoise and cobalt blue, bright red and rose read, and amber figure into the whole, along with copper and white and purple highlights. It is painted on cradled basswood panel and does not require framing (in fact, looks better unframed). It is signed, dated, and the cradled is stained and sealed.
