Painted with acrylic and acrylic medium, including modeling paste and copper paint, this multilayered painting, dominated by blues, reds, rose and purple, was made through mark making of various techniques, and then sanding down through the layers with a rotary sander (sometimes retaining only a small portion), and doing so through 8 to 10 iterations, until a dynamic and pleasing whole was achieved. It is currently framed in a slim silver frame (wood) that adds one-inch to each side.
