This acrylic painting is part of a "dreams of heaven" series I worked on in 2013: I wanted to take unlikely subjects and envision what heaven would seem like to them: a sturgeon, a cranberry, etc., and here, a hickory tree. It's fanciful and invokes delight (at least in me!). I've used some metallic acrylic inks and powdered pigments as well as fluid acrylics and the work is sealed in polyacrylic. It's framed in a walnut canvas floater frame that adds an inch to the overall dimensions. Signed and dated on the back, it ships with a digitally registered Certificate of Authenticity.
