Early autumn colors working in an apple orchard is where I set my easel up, obtaining a front row seat, (except I stand)! as these mountain sprawl out before me. I feel like reaching out to pet them, as though they are large animals that rise up and back down again when fast moving cloud shadows and sunlight fall on them, undulating them. I grab this movement with color.
